Invited guests to the 2017 Women’s Cosafa Tournament Kenya have been in sensational form scoring goals with reckless abandon, this afternoon succumbed finally to register their first loss in the tournament against host nation Zimbabwe via a 4nil drubbing.

Coming to the semi final Kenya has dispatched every team they met on the way scoring an amazing 17 goals along the way.

But this afternoon goals from Makore 11th, Kabwe 45th, Nyahumwe and Mupeti on the 89th minute mark were enough to humble the tournament visitor who by some great measure have been a competitive invitee.

Interesting Zimbabwe had to thank Kenya for beating Swaziland in the group stages that helped the hosts to book a place in the same final.

Had Kenya lost in the final match they probably would have been setup to a different opponent. Zimbabwe though was not in the mood to offer consolations.

The hosts who were dubbed the favourites have had an indifferent tournament. But seemingly have that gear to negotiate their way to the final.

Banyanya Banyanya who earlier on beat Zambia awaits them in the final.

Kenya and Zimbabwe will curtain raise the final at Barbourfield Stadium this coming weekend to fight for the bronze medal.
