Jeremy Brockie keen to stay in the PSL

New Zealand International striker Jeremy Brockie has expressed his desire to stay in the PSL and remains keen to continue plying his trade in the South African top-flight.

Brockie who is on loan to Maritzburg United from the defending PSL champions Mamelodi Sundowns failed to command a place in the Pitso Mosimane’s side with goals eluding him.

His manager Mike Makaab insists the striker is focused on regaining his form and has no intention of leaving the PSL.

“Brockie is still focused on regaining his form at Maritzburg United. He is working very hard. Yes, his contract is coming to an end in June at Sundowns but they have an option (to renew),” Makaab told IOL .

“Brockie is still keen to stay in South Africa. His family is happy here and we will see what will happen with his future in the next few months.”

The 32-year-old’s numbers for United have been equally poor scoring one goal and one assist across all competitions since joining from the reigning MTN8 champions in January 2018.

The league is currently suspended due to the Coronvirus outbreak and the New Zealander hopes to regain his form when the PSL returns.
