Zesco united have released their 30 man squad registered for the Caf confederations cup and Fackson Kapumbu has made the cut. This is according to a statement on their official website issued by their public relations officer Katebe Chola Chengo.
Kapumbu who won the league with Zanaco last season has now been registered by two clubs as the bankers also named Kapumbu in their Caf Champions league squad. If this is not sorted out Kapumbu might not even get a chance to play any continental football.
Zesco have acquired a total of eight new players to boost the squad and has registered 30 players in the Competition.
The acquired players are;

Dave Daka – ZANACO
Idris Ilunga Mbombo –
Marcel Kasongo Kalonda – Kabwe Warriors
Patrick Kashita Kongolo – Mufulira Blackpool
Bob Kasua Ngoi – Lusaka Tigers
Chibesa Chanda Mwape – Lusaka Tigers
Bwalya Chiti – Promoted from Vic falls Developmental team
Dumisani Mwanza – Promoted from Malaiti Rangers
The players released are;
Lackson Mwamba Chewe – Loan (Club to be advised)
Emmanuel Mayuka – Loan to Buildcon but yet to agree on personal terms
Matthews Nkowane – Loan to Buildcon but yet to agree on personal terms
Lottie Bwalya – Redeployed to Zesco Limited
Maybin Mwaba – Redeployed to Zesco Limited (Retired from active football)
Nyambe Henry Mulenga – Redeployed to Zesco Limited due to Injury
Juma Ally Liuzio – Loan to Simba FC of Tanzania
Ayo Oluwafemi – Contract not renewed
Clatous Chama has since joined Al-Ittihad Alexandria following the expiry of his contract
