Katebe excluded in Zanaco’s 18-man squad for Confederation cup opener

Zanaco will be making a short trip to the capital city of Zimbabwe for their 2016 CAF Confederation cup opener against Harare at Rufaro stadium.

Coach Mumamba Numba has named his 18-man squad without new signing Aaron Katebe.The defender has been evicted in the squad because of the delays in obtaining his International Transfer Certificate(ITC).

Harare City will be relieved by the absence of Aron Katebe who is privy of Zimbabwe’s league football after plying his trade with that country’s powerhouse Platinum FC.

Platinum FC were Zimbabwe’s represantatives in 2015 CAF Confederation and were knocked out by Young Africa of Tanzania after brushing aside Kenya’s Sofapaka.

Katebe joined the bankers as a free agent after terminating his contract with Moroccan giants Mohgreb Tetouan.

Other notable exclusions are Andrew Kwiliko,Potipher Zulu,Mwelwa Sakala and Ernest Mbewe.

The team is set to flew to Zimbabwe on Thursday for the tie to be played this weekend.
