After a long stay as Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA FC) defender and coach, Mr. John Luyinda a.k.a Ayala has left to reunite with Abdallah Mubiru and George Nsimbe at Uganda Cup holders Vipers SC and the former employer wishes him well.

KCCA chief executive officer (CEO),David Tamale led the tribute to the youthful tactician with “rare administrative traits.”

Ayala, 31, was one of the first team coaches and was part of the club’s administration both on and off pitch.

“We miss his tireless efforts but we couldn’t stand in his path to try out another opportunity. He fulfilled everything needed in his transfer move and will always be welcome at Lugogo,” Tamale said.

Tamale enjoyed a personal relationship with Ayala and was partly responsible for turning him into a trusted lieutenant he has been at Phillip Omondi.

Ayala, who worked with Nsimbe and Mubiru as the reigning Azam Uganda Premier League champions won the 2012/13 and 2013/2014 league titles, was unveiled by Vipers on Tuesday afternoon.

Manager Mike Mutebi noted Ayala’s strong impact on the dressing room and said the players treated him as their ‘big brother’.

“I’m happy that I have been able to help many coaches find their feet and Ayala is one of them. I wish him well on his next assignment and I know once a KCCA die-hard is always a KCCA die-hard. Ayala will return in future and he will come back with enormous experience to benefit the club,” Mutebi said.
