Kenya Football Elections: Open Letter to FKF Electoral Board chairman Donald Kipkorir

Without any Prejudice
Dear Sir Donald B. Kipkorir,
First let me congratulate you for being appointed the FKF elections board chairman and Secondly let me apologise for using this forum to address you but I had no other way.
Mr.Kipkorir when I learnt of your appointment to the board I was full of optism and was happy your great credentials and standing in the community would help steer football which many of us depend on to greater heights during the forthcoming elections.
However I am sorry to say that I now have reservations that I feel you must address amicably or else the football stakeholders will lose confidence in you.
For starters I remember covering the AGM when President Sam Nyamweya proposed your name to the board and he later appointed you as the Chairman. However things are not looking rosy as everyone thinks, as you have not been attending board meeting to make the important decisions.
Last Wednesday you were absent when 8 board members met the Football Presidential aspirants at the secretariat International Life House but ironically the next day you called for a meeting that was attended by Sam Nyamweya NEC members Robert Asembo,Angeline together with two other boars members.
First take note FKF’S mandate to run football ended on October 28th and only Sam Nyamweya is allowed by the constitution to continue as President until another President will be elected meaning NEC members positions are Null and void.
Let’s also remind ourselves that according to FIFA constitution the attendance by board members must be absolute meaning 50 +1 to which a quoram consists of 5 members from the 9 appointed that in essence means the resolutions passed on Thursday at Nairobi Club are not binding at all .
Today you have written a letter to Nyamweya (See attached) urgently asking him to remove two board members Irene and Mereka from the board further showing you are up to no good and please be reminded that their appointment is an AGM decision and An AGM decision can only be reversed at an AGM. No one can remove a member of the board unless it’s the AGM.
Mr.Kipkorir so many youths in Kenya depend on football as their sole breadwinner but the way you are acting arbitrarily shows that you are being used for bad reasons by the Incumbent which stakeholders cannot agree come rain or shine. Please Don, let its not look like you are supporting Incumbent Sam Nyamweya give your best and ensure a free and fair election that will stand the test of time.
Please you are a person of great reputation don’t let your integrity, goodwill and standing in the community be dented with such machinations.Have a great day
Regards
