Kenyan club Tusker responds to Orlando Pirates “follow right channel” on Rwandese keeper

Kenyan club Tusker responds to Orlando Pirates “follow right channel” on Rwandese keeper

Reports linking Orlando Pirates with a Rwandan goalkeeper have led the player’s club to issue a response on the matter.

Recent reports have linked the Buccaneers with Rwandan goalkeeper Emery Mvuyekure, who plies trade at Kenyan Premier League club Tusker.

While the eleven-time Kenyan Premier League champions appear to be willing to listen to offers for the shot-stopper, an appeal has been made to potential suitors to follow the proper channels.

Furthermore, Tusker has rubbished reports that Mvuyekure will soon be a free agent, with the club stating that his contract will expire in November 2021.

“There is no way the player can leave as a free agent yet he has a running contract with us neither have we delayed his salaries. The news caught us by surprise considering he has a copy of the contract and we are always ready to give printouts to our players,” Tusker chairman Daniel Aduda has been quoted saying by Kenyan publication, The Star.

“We are always open to our players when it comes to deals elsewhere. In this case, we do not intend to stand in his way but the right channel must be followed. Those who want his services should approach us for negotiations and I believe should we reach consensus, then we will let him go with our blessings. Heading south is a good move,” he added.

Earlier indications have been that the goalkeeper, who joined the Kenyan club in 2018, was in the final six months of his deal.
