Kenyan international striker Masoud Juma netted his debut goal for South Africa giants Cape Town City FC as his side held Martizburg United 1-1 in an Absa Premier Soccer League match on Saturday.

Juma who came in as a substitute in 63rd minute netted a stoppage time equalizer to grab an important point for Cape Town outfit that failed to live up to fans expectations.

In one of his social media pages after the game, Masoud Juma expressed his feelings confirming the importance of the opening goal.

“Thank You God for the goal,” read the brief post after the game.

Juma, who scored 18 goals for Kariobangi Sharks to emerge top scorer in Kenya Premier League last season, had missed the last few weeks with an injury before returning to action for his new team late last month.

In the Martizburg defence, he was up against Fransman who was playing in the place of injured Kenyan defender Brian Mandela.

And with the game winding down, Juma showed his character when he pulled one out of the hat in added time when he shoveled a 14-yard volley off the rebound for his first goal in the league.

Cape Town City are ranked now ranked 6th in the ABSA Premiership table with 35 points and their next match will be against SuperSport United who are currently in Kenya to play against Gor Mahia in a CAF Confederations Cup play-off.
