Ghana is in danger of losing the hosting rights for the African Women Cup of Nation following confusion in the country after the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi and the subsequent intervention by the government on football matters.

A close source told www.soka25east.com  that Kenya had  expressed their interest to host the tournament and it was being considered especially after CAF inspectors were unhappy with the preparations in Ghana  four months ahead of the tournament various facilities and infrastructure appear behind schedule, fuelling fears that the West Africans may not be able to organize the tournament at all.

The 13th edition of the the biennial international football championship organised for the women’s national teams of Africa, was scheduled to kick off form 17 November to 1 December 2018. The tournament also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The top three teams will qualify.

However with the latest development Kenya which lost the rights to host the 2018 CHAN to Morocco have put themselves up for consideration having improved facilities after last year’s debacle with a source close saying the government was ready to come in as replacement for Ghana.
