Kaizer Chiefs reject Keagan Buchanan has put pen to paper on a three year deal with Maritzburg United after after Kaizer Chiefs released him.

The former Bloemfontein Celtic play maker arrived at Chiefs ahead of the 2016/17 campaign with high expectations  he would become an integral part of the team. However he struggled to get playing time as coach Steve Khomphela largely favoured Siphiwe Tshabalala and Pule Ekstien in attacking midfield.

Kaizer Chiefs management announced in June that Buchanan was surplus to requirement and it has now been confirmed he will have a chance to resurrect his career with the Team of Choice

It had previously been reported that a number of clubs in the Premiership were interested in his service with the likes of Supersport United,Highlands Park and Bidvest Wits all considering a move.
