Kgatlana set to light up FIFA Women’s World Cup

The best female footballer in Africa will soon be gracing the FIFA Women’s World in France with her pace and skill as she Headlines the final Banyana squad list.

Kgatlana was instrumental in South Africa’s success at the 11 Edition of the 2018 Total Africa Women’s Cup of Nations in Ghana where she also emerged as top scorer with 5 goals.

Coach Desiree Ellis has picked a strong squad for the tournament which will kickoff on the 7th of June 2019. Some of the notable members of the squad are strikers Jermaine Seoposenwe, Rhoda Mulaudzi, Midfielders Refiloe Jane, Linda Motlhalo and Busiswe Ndimeni. Others are defenders Janine Van Wyk and Bongeka Gamede.

This will be South Africa’s first appearance a FIFA Women’s World Cup. Ellis’ charges are drawn in Group B with Germany, China and Spain.

Banyana open their World Cup campaign against Spain on 8 June with kick off set for 18:00 hrs CAT (19:00 EAT)
