Saturday – St. George FC “Kidus Giorgis” edged out Arbaminch 3-2 in Adama City to book the last spot in the Ethiopia Cup semi-final.

A brace from Adane Girma and a strike from Salhadin Seid were enough to seal the slim victory for the Martin Nooij’s Coached side.

Toshome Tedesse and Amanuel Gobena were on target for Arbaminch.

Toshome thrushed the home side ahead a minute past the quarter hour mark, a lead they kept into the first interval and past the hour mark.

Kidus responded through Salhadin in the 63rd minute but seven minutes later Amanuel restored Arbaminch’s lead.

Adane leveled for the Addis giants again seven minutes to regulation time before grabbing the winner on the dot to save the league champions penalty headache.

Kidus will face Adama City in the semi-final next week while Ethiopia Coffee will take on defense in the other semi-final.

The winner represents Ethiopia in the CAF Confederations Cup.
