Asante Kotoko will come up against arch rivals Hearts of Oak in a two-legged friendly contest in Kumasi.

With the Zylofon Cash Premier League on a halt following Government’s decision to dissolve the country’s football governing body, Ghana Football Association after the Ana’s Aremeyaw Anas’ expose in which ex-FA Boss and some officiating officials were caught taking bribe to influence match result and provide game time for players in the national team.

Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak are looking to take advantage of this break to keep fit and in good match condition.

A four-member committee from both camp has been set up to organise this game.

The first league will happen on – 19 August, 2018 with the second encounter on – 2nd September at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, Ashanti Regional.

In a related development, Asante Kotoko have accepted an invite to play Tanzania football giants Simba Sporting Club in an international friendly, scheduled for Wednesday 8 August, 2018 at the National Stadium in Dares-Salam.

The Porcupine Warriors are expected to leave the shores of the country next week for the international friendly.

The game will be used to commemorate the 2018 Simba Day celebrations.

Simba Day is celebrated annually to unveil new players and award outstanding players as well.
