KPL: Defenders Donald Mosoti and Aboud Omar heading to Nakumatt FC

By Bonface Osano,

The Football Kenya Federation Premier League club Nakumatt FC  continues to splash cash and the promise for permanent employment to grab the best talents in Kenyan Premier League, as they seek to turnaround their dwindling  fortunes on the field of play.
The latest on their radar is the tall defender Donald Mosoti. Mosoti has agreed to mutually part ways  with Tusker FC to sign a one year lucrative deal with Nakumatt which will guarantee him a permanent employment with the giant retail store.
“It’s all about my future after football, as you know years keep rolling. Nakumatt offers me a good package besides they will give me a permanent job, meaning my future is secured. I could not turn them down. I want to help them get promotion to KPL.” Mosoti told Soka25east.com
The defender known for his hard tackles and powerful aerial dominance signed for Gor Mahia in 2012 from City Stars helping the reigning KPL champions to win Top 8 title and Kenya Cup “GOTV Cup” in 2012 and the league title in 2013.
He then crossed over to Tanzania where he signed a two year deal with Simba SC, but his stay there did not last as he was unceremoniously dropped by Simba late last year, a move that proved costly for the club as they were fined 13,800 dollars by FIFA for the breach of contract.
Mosoti came back to Kenya signing another two year deal with Tusker early 2015 where he has been active for the Brewers in the first leg of the league.
Aboud Omar
Also on Nakumatt’s wish list is the gifted left full back Aboud Omar, the Kenyan international was among the players dropped by Tusker FC and he is currently a free agent. Aboud has been with the national team and he was instrumental in Harambee Stars’ 1-1 draw against Congo Brazzaville away on Sunday 13th in the AFCON 2017 qualifier match.
