KPL WEEK 20 REVIEW: Jesse Were makes history, Ulinzi fall as Sofapaka bounce back

History was made this weekend by the in form striker Jesse Were as he scored a hat trick of hat trick to become the first kenyan in the Kpl era to do so.As he helped Francis Kimanzi Ruaraka based side over come a free falling Thika united to 4-0 scoreline.

Ushuru 2 vs 2 western stama.

At the same venue ushuru played to a thrilling 2-2 draw. Moses Arita produce a Man of the match performance with a brace at each half of the game to enable ushuru earn a much deserved points. Western Stima then took the lead at the half hour mark when John Kiplangat got on the end of a through ball from former Sofapaka playmaker Shafiq Batambuze. Stima and Ushuru remain in seventh and eight positions respectively on the KPL log.

Ulinzi 1 vs 2 Muhoroni.

The military base outfit lost momentum in the race for a 2nd place as they fail to close the gap at the top,failing to take advantage of Gor mahia absence,losing in an ill tempered match played at Muhoroni stadium.

In a game which saw three 3 red card been flash as Oliver Ruto and Oscar Wamalwa were both send off for Ulinzi side in the dying minutes of the game while Muhoroni wycliffe Nyangechi was shown the door in the additional time.
Muhoroni were first on the score sheet through Mike khaduli headed
goal before Oscar Wamalwa leveled for Robert Matano men’s but this was
short lived when former ulinzi player Ochomo scored in the extra time
to give the youth a 2-1 revenge win to take all the three point.

Bandari 1 vs 2 Sofapaka

Batoto BA Mungu got back to winning ways in an unfamiliar ground
as they beat the host Bandari to a hard fought 2-1 win away at Mombasa municipal stadium. In a game that saw many chance go begging for both team. Former Sofapaka man Musa Mudue break the deadlock from a free kick after Kenga was brought down outside the area. Sofapaka come back stronger in the
second half to equalized though Faudi Ndayisenga whipped home beating
willson Obungu in the goal. Uganda Herman wasswa who come in from
the goal scorer Ndayisenga made the different by scoring the Winner
after Collins Shivachi cross was punched by Obungu into his path.

KCB 2 vs 2 Mathare united.

In the only match at the National captial on Sunday saw Kenya international Pual mungai brace give the bankers a well deserve 2 all draw against Mathare united at city stadium.
Kiongera put the bankers the early lead in the 28th minute through a free kick.
