Ulinzi Stars annihilated Mathare United 5-1 in the biggest season defeat in the Kenyan Premier League at the Afraha Stadium, Nakuru.

AFC Leopards made it two wins on the bounce with a 2-1 defeat of floundering Thika United at Thika Stadium, Thika.

Youngster Samuel Onyango commenced the goal fest for the Soldiers two minutes into play before Stephen Waruru made it 2-0 ten minutes later.

Waruru grabbed a brace firing home Joe Birgen’s deflected shot in the 15th minute for the third.

Derrick Onyango reduced the deficit for the Slum Boys with a well taken volley in the 25th minute for a 3-1 half time score.

Ulinzi were not done yet and in the 74th minute, Daniel Waweru converted from the spot for the fourth with substitute Enosh Ochieng’ sealing the obliteration with the fifth in the 80th minute.

Ulinzi, 2006 champions move to 4th on the log with 12 points – two points off leaders Posta Rangers.

Ghanaian forward Gilbert Fiamenyo struck his fifth of the season to give the Leopards the lead in the 36th minute.

Whyvonne Isuza opened his account at the den with the second a minute past the hour mark to secure the three points, which took Ingwe to joint third in the stable standings with 13 points same as Gor Mahia.

Salim Mzee’s late goal served nothing but consolation for the home side, who find themselves 14th on the log with six points in six matches.
