Zoo Kericho and Muhoroni battled to a 1-1 stalemate to record second goal, second point in the Kenyan Premier League.

The midweek fixture was staged at the Afraha Stadium, Nakuru Tuesday.

Zoo’s first point in the topflight came courtesy of a similar outcome against fellow league debutants Nzoia United at Kericho Green Stadium over the weekend.

Muhoroni on the other hand came into the match against the backdrop of a 2-0 home win against Sony Sugar on Saturday.

Mike Madoya converted from the spot in the 23rd minute, after Muhoroni defender Paul Muchika was adjudged to have committed a foul in the box, to give Zoo the lead.

Zoo carried the slim advantage into the breather.

Muhoroni found the leveler in the 82nd minute from a similar situation after Daniel Otieno was brought down in the box with Robert Ouma stepping forward to slot home.

Ouma came close to grabbing the winner for the Cane Cutters in the second minute of added time but his goal was flagged offside.

The point takes Muhoroni to 9th on the table standings with eight points from seven ties.

While Zoo still remain rooted at the bottom of the log with two points from the same number of matches.
