Ulinzi Stars moved to third on log with a 2-1 win over Mathare United in a midweek Kenyan Premier League match played at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru on Wednesday 27th.
Stephen Ochola opened the scoring for the Soldiers in the 10th minute with a powerful header that left Mathare United keeper Peter Odhiambo helpless.
Kevin Anwayi double the score in the 15th minute with wonderful volley to the joy of Ulinzi fans.
Red hot Eric Johana scored the Slum Boys’ consolation goal 48th minute, but it wasn’t enough as the “Lion” Robert Matano bounced back to winning ways in style.
The win lifts Ulinzi to third with 24 points same as SOFAPAKA as Mathare remains static in the log at position nine.
