Leonard Saleh tasked with redeeming KCB

Former top flight club Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has started its journey back to the  Sportpesa premier league.

KCB  was relegated last season after finishing the league in position 15 on 28 points.

Despite the deep in form the mother sponsor Kenya commercial bank has decided to continue supporting the club during their stint at the lower tire, which is a major boost to their much anticipated comeback after 19 years in at playing in the Kenyan Premier League.
“ The sponsor Kenya commercial bank has agreed to be with us on our journey in the lower tier as we try to come up with a formidable team that will bring us back to Kenya premier league” Team manager Joseph Okal told Soka25east.com

Saleh Confirmed as Coach

The banker’s management confirmed former coach Leonard Saleh as head coach tasked with taking back  the team to the premier league and regaining back their   lost glory.

Saleh parted ways with KCB three years ago after his commitment with the national team Harambee stars

Since then the coach has been at Agro Chemicals, Posta rangers and Kakamega homeboys before being rehired back early this year.

The coach has agreed to a two year contract and will be assisted by Elvis Ayani a former player and acting coach at the club, Daniel Oluoch as the Goalkeeper trainer and Team manager Joseph Okal all who have been retained on the technical bench.

A Fresh Start

After going down most of the players either parted ways with the team while others were released. Currently the club has only ten players from last season’s team.

Trials have already began at their training base at Rwaraka with the technical bench targeting to sign fifteen new players.

The team is scheduled play a friendly match on Saturday as part of its trials with a final team of 25 players set to be released next week.
