Two clubs from Burundi’s second tier league “Primus League B” have earned promotion to the big boys league “Primus League” starting next season, with one pending slot to be filled.

Les Lieres FC from the capital Bujumbura and Gatega Province’s Musongati FC have all booked a chance to rub shoulders with the big guns of Burundi’s top flight football in the coming 2016/17 season.

The elevation of Musongati will also see the return of former Rayol FC and Atletico player Babe Ngoy and Ndikumana Kudra previously with Flamengo and Prince Louis to premiership football.

The third promotion slot will be up for grabs in a playoff battle between Rusizi FC of Chibitoke Province and Bujumbura’s Flamengo.

Royoform and Prince Louis have been relegated to the third division league.

Vital’O won this season’s Primus League which also saw Les Crocos, Juenes Athletiques and Les Elephants get relegated.
