Uganda Cranes forward Edriisa Lubega bidded farewell to his teammates at East Kololo training grounds yesterday after the team’s last training session ahead of their AUPL match against Onduparaka FC at Phillip Omondi stadium on Tuesday evening.

In an emotional speech, the goal machine thanked all his teammates who have been their for him.

” I thank you all my teammates for the love and support you gave me since I came here. Everything I have achieved has been because, all the goals I scored in the Big league, awards I won, etc. I want to thank the entire club management and coaches for everything. Proline FC will always be at heart and forever it will be my home away from my real home”

Lubega will this week depart for a professional stint in Austria were he will join his new side Floridsdorfer Athletik club a second division side a reason he was excluded from the Proline team to face Onduparaka FC.

He came into limelight in 2015 while at Ssingo Sazza and later joined Proline FC in the FUFA Big league then were he scored over 20goals to claim the golden boot accolade.

His goal scoring heroics in 2016 forced national head coach Micho to named him in his final CHAN squad in Rwanda and became the first FUFA Big league player to make a CHAN final squad.
