Zesco United “Zega Mambo” followed their weekend’s big hunt against Al Ahly of Egypt in the CAF champions league with a 2-0 thumping of strugglers Lusaka Dynamos in a rescheduled league match at Edwin Imboela Stadium, Lusaka on Wednesday.

The two goals in each stanza from mercurial Jackson Mwanza and prolific attacking midfielder Cletus Chama guaranteed the three points as the reigning Zambia Super League Champions leapfrogged Nkana to second on the log on superior goal difference.

Both teams are tied on 28 points with the Coach George Lwandamina’s side who have now cut Zanaco’s lead to six points, still having two games at hand.

Unfortunate for Chama, he didn’t finish the match as he got sent off in the second for second bookable foul.

Today’s match marked Zesco United’s eighth league win thus far while for 17th placed Lusaka Dynamos,it was their eighth loss.

Zesco shocked Al Ahly 3-2 on Saturday in their opening group “A” match of the Champions League at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, Ndola.
