Maisha nets Buidcon’s first goal of the season in their draw with Power

Zambia Super League side Buildcon FC scored their first goal in the 2017 season although but failed to win their first game of the season as the search for 3 points continues

2016 Kenyan premier league topscorer John Mark Makwatta made his debut for team Kopala after missing the first three matches. The former Ulinzi Man did not take any time to make his mark in the Zambian league as he assisted TP Mazembe loanee Maisha Chavda for teams opening goal of the game in the 7th minute. Maisha’s goal is the first and only goal “Team Kopala” have scored in the league so far.

Power Dynamos was on the back- foot for most of the opening 30 minutes and might have been two nil down if not for poor officiating which denied Makwatta his debut goal which was wrongfully judged off-side. Coach Dan Kabwe made an early Substitution bringing in Midfielder Larry Bwalya on the place of Ivorian Ferdinand Kam in the 33rd minute.

Power started started to look more lively and just a minute from halftime Julius Situmbeko won a “soft” penalty for Power Dynamos and Fwayo Tembo stepped up to score his 3rd goal of the season and become the first player to score against Scot Ngokene this season .

The second half did not produce any goal but was very entertaining with both sides coming close but neither could break the deadlock, it ended one all.

The draw means Buildcon have now failed to win any of their last 4 matches and will travel to Lusaka in search of their first win of the season and will face police sponsored out-fit  Nkwazi while Power Dynamos will host Forest Rangers.
