Kenyan international and Ulinzi Stars striker John Makwatta has opted out of a 2 year deal with Swedish Division 1 side Oskarshamns AIK.

The 2016 golden boot winner who was scheduled to travel to Sweden on the 15th of January developed cold feet citing some clauses in the contract.

Speaking exclusively to Soka25east.com MNG sport agency’s Huffman Eja who represented the former City Star’s striker in negotiatiating the deal, castigated the talisman for being unprofessional in his dealings.

“All I have to say is that Kenyan football is at the level where it should be but working with players from this region is equivalent to negotiating with a toddler.”

“In short, professional clubs are looking to sign professional players and more often, these players portray the same characteristics both on and off the field. in my experience in dealing with Kenyan players.. it seems that they lack the basic fundamentals of interacting in the business of sports and entertainment.”

The 22 year old is rumoured to be angling for a move in Zambia.
