Malawi – Nomads face the Peoples team in tense derby in Lilongwe

The Blanyre derby takes centre stage on Saturday in the capital Lilongwe .

Be Foward Wanderers will on Saturday face Nyasa Big Bullets in Malawi’s fiercest rivalry match at Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe .

Big Bullets are heading to the capital Lilongwe after beating Karonga United 4-2 in the FISD Challenge Cup in Blanyre .They are ready to face the league leaders Mighty wanderers who are top of the league

The Nomads (Mighty Wanderers ) are on top of the Super league with 54 points after 23 matches while Big Bullets are distant second with 46 points after 22 matches

Bullets coach Elias Kananja is optimistic of catching up with leaders but wary of the Nomads threat

“The desire is to win and narrow gap .It is going to be a great challenge he ” the coach said

The league leaders will miss the services of Lucky Malata who got injured .

Nomads GS Mike Butao says they are ready for the historic derby and are not worried of the state of the Bingu Stadium despite SULOM thwarting their efforts to use their Balaka stadium .

The reverse fixture ended 1-0/in favour of Big Bullets
