A statement from Ivory Coast’s ASEC Mimosas has confirmed the transfer of 25-year old forward Yannick Zakri to Mamelodi Sundowns in South Africa.

“After the transfer of Siaka Tiene and Soumahoro Bangaly ‚ Mimosas striker Yannick Zakri Krahire will continue his career in this great club‚ South African champion and current semifinalist in the Champions League.

“Indeed‚ the two clubs who have been working together for several years agreed on the transfer of the player.

“ASEC Mimosas wish him good luck for the rest of his career.” The statement posted on the club’s official Facebook page read.

No further details of the deal has since emerged.

ASEC bowed out of the 2016 CAF champions league at group phase level, where as the “Masandawana” are still in contention for the top prize having cruised to semi-finals where Zesco United awaits.

The Pitso Masimone’s outfit is also beefing up for league title defense, and are said to be chasing after Zesco United’s playermaker Cletus Chota Chama among others.
