Mosimane not ready to concede title race

Pitso Mosimane has expressed his desire to add the Egyptian Premier League title to the cabinet after winning the CAF Champions League trophy.

Musimani explained in the press conference after the 1-1 draw against National Bank that Al-Ahly did not play as required and there were some mistakes, and the team missed many chances in the first half that were enough to decide the result.

“I will not talk about excuses, the absence of international players or the performance of referees. We knew from the beginning about their absence, and we agreed to that for the sake of the Olympic team, although the Olympic tournament is outside the international calendar, and there are many clubs in Europe who refused to leave their players.”

Musimani concluded by stressing that Al-Ahly will fight for the title, and there is no alternative to that, and there are many variables, and there is no choice but to fight until the last moment and wait for the changes.

Al Ahly are nine points behind rivals Zamalek

Al-Ahly drew dropped points against National Bank, in a League match on Thursday, at Al-Ahly We Al-Salam Stadium, which was postponed from the 25th round of the Premier League.

Al-Ahly’s goal was scored by Mohamed Magdy Afsha in the 48th minute with a missile shot that hit the upper left corner of Mahmoud Al-Zanfali’s goal, Al-Ahly Bank goalkeeper, and Karim Bambu equalized in the 86th minute, surprisingly, with a free header.

With this result, the two teams shared the points points, bringing Al-Ahly’s tally to 52 points. The Red Devils are 9 points behind bitter rivals Zamalek with three games in hand.
