Paul Mucureezi has termed his short time with the Uganda Cranes “a motivation factor” despite being dropped.

The KCCA FC sensational winger was amongst the 40 players summoned by national head coach Mitulin “Micho” Sredojovic to prepare for the upcoming AFCON in January 2017 in Gabon but was amongst the nine players axed before Christmas break.

“The short time with the Cranes motivated me a lot and helped me to learn a lot of new things. With this call up, I believe I will soon be a national star. I thank coach Micho for the opportunity,he is a great coach who is always open to players,” he said.

Mucureezi also testifies that training alongside his role models was a dream come true.

“This call up gave me an opportunity to train with my role models like Tony Mawejje and I’m really happy about it.”

Mucureezi has been in sharp form this season for his club KCCA FC in the Azam Uganda Premier League, and has been one of the major force behind KCCA FC’s scoring form due to his assists.
