Lusaka Dynamos 0-2 NAPSA

NAPSA are proving to be a dangerous teams and it showed again on Saturday when they beat Lusaka Dynamos in a tactfully contested fixture where Lusaka Dynamos were in need for points to get off the relegation zone, NAPSA used their two chances very well in the second half and that win moves NAPSA to 8th position on 38 points and will be looking for two more points to reach 40 which looks to be a safe zone this season.

Lusaka Dynamos will again end week 30 in the relegation zone and still hope for fortunes to come their way. For now, Lusaka Dynamos is a serious candidate for relegation on 29 points.

Nkana 6-3 Nakambala Leopards

There were 9 goals scored at Nkana stadium in one game and that is the record for the season so far and the first hatrick for Walter Bwalya at Nkana and the result which Nkana will believe will boost their chances of playing CAF competition but that is dependent on what ZESCO does with their games in hand.

The other scorers for Nkana included Ronald Sate Sate Kampamba, Simon Bwalya and then Given Sinyangwe scored his first goal for Nkana. The Kitwe giants maintain second slot and move to 60 points five behind ZANACO

Nakambala end the week om 11th position on 34 points and could lose that position should Lumwana draw or win against Green Buffaloes on Sunday. The scorers for Nakambala Leopards were Lameck Banda who scored two and Keegan Bwalya with one.

Green Buffaloes 1-0 Lumwana Radiants

Green Buffalloes left it for the last minute to break the hearts of Lumwana Radiants when Felix Katongo was pulled in a penalty area to give a spot kick in the last minutes of the game. Jack Chirwa would not miss that chance to that earned Green Buffaloes crucial three points and dented the survival hopes for Lumwana Radiants.

Green Buffaloes maintain fifth position on 48 points while Lumwana are in danger of relegation once more and remain 12th on 33 points .

Lusaka Tigers 1-2 Forest Rangers

Forest Rangers completed a double over Lusaka Tigers in a game played at Independence Stadium on a Sunday afternoon and that result slowly is confirming Lusaka Tigers as one of the teams going to the zones. While Forest Rangers will play super league football in 2017. They are done and safe for this one with goals coming Logic Chin’gandu and Graven Chitalu while Lusaka Tigers who remain in relegation got the consolation from Chibesa Chanda via a penalty. That was the 15th loss of Lusaka Tigers two better than Mufulira Blackpool.

DRAWS

Kabwe Warriors 1-1 Nkwazi

Kabwe Warriors drew at home when Nkwazi came knocking and it looked like the home team were destined for three points until Mwila Kabwe scored in injury time to earn Nkwazi a point away in Kabwe. Big point for Nkwazi who are struggling to get off the danger middle table were they could be caught up should the teams below them grind results.

And after the Saturday games Nkwazi are 10th on 35 points while Kabwe Warriors 7th on 40 points and they feel they are safe having reached the 40-point mark. I believe Kabwe Warriors are now safe too.

Nchanga Rangers 1-1 Red Arrows

In Chingola, Nchanga Rangers and Red Arrows played to a 1 all draw after Festus Mbewe cancelled Bwalya Kasonde opener deep in the second half. The result favored Red Arrows who maintains sixth position on 41 points while Nchanga Rangers are involved in relegation fight and end the weekend on 33 points.

ZANACO 0-0 ZESCO

The big game in Lusaka ended in a goalless draw with both teams looking comfortable with a point in a much publicized game of the weekend. Both teams now have the maximum of 83 points should they win their remaining games but Zanaco has 6 games to play while ZESCO has 11 games to play.

It’s still a season worthy looking forward too as the two teams are determined for the title. The draw meant both maintains their records for the season as ZESCO never losing on the road and ZANACO not conceding a goal in a home match.

ZESCO also gives serious intent to Power Dynamos as they are just three points from the Kitwe outfit who play Mufulira Wanderers on Sunday.

ABANDONED

Power Dynamos 0-1 Mufulira Wanderers

Progress Kalenga scored in the first half to end the first half on three points not knowing that was the end of the game as the assistant referee was injured by irate fans who threw missiles on the pitch. Match official Jan Sikazwe decided the game was not going to continue and the much anticipated game ended prematurely.

Mufulira Blackpool 1-1 Green Eagles (Abandoned)

The game was abandoned with three minutes to play following protests from Mufulira Blackpool fans who were still protesting a penalty awarded to Green Eagles in the injury time of the game. The disciplinary committee of FAZ will decide the outcome of this abandoned game.

MY STATISTICS

NUMBER OF GOALS SCORED: 18 Goals

BEST TEAM OF WEEK 26:

NAPSA STARS

Am going for NAPSA Stars who picks my applauds for the seriousness that the team is showing towards the end of the season. The 2-0 against Lusaka Dynamos were not lucky but hard work and well deserved.

MOST IMPROVED:

LUMWANA RADIANTS

Even with the loss Lumwana Radiants pushed GBFC to the wire at their own backyard and that was good game and they will take the most improved.

FIGHTING RELEGATION:

LUSAKA TIGERS

Looks like they will just have joined Mufulira Blackpool in preparing for the zones.

BEST PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Graven Chitalu of Forest Rangers had very good movements in the game against Lusaka Tigers and he scored the second goal. He won most of the goals in the midfield and rarely messed up with his passes, I would want to see if he will be consistent
