Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) and the government have announced new kick-off dates for all leagues in the country.

The topflight, postponed twice previously, will now commence on 12th November, 2016.

The league was initially scheduled to start on October 8, but was pushed back to October 30, to allow enough preseason for newly promoted clubs.

The latest delay was a directive by the government over security concerns. The country is under 6-month state of emergency – imposed due to months of anti-government protests.

Similarly; Ethiopia women’s league will now start on November 20.

The Ethiopia super league will start on November 12.

The Ethiopia national league will start on November 20.

The U-17 men’s championship will start on November 20.

The U-20 men’s championship will start on November 27.
