The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has reported its 2015/16 Ethiopian premier league performance and has announced the 2016/17 PL fixtuers.

The report hailed the league as generally well run since it finished in time despite three long breaks due to CECAFA and CHAN tournaments, and added that the competiton sense was medium but the numver of fans attendance decreased.

The report does not emphasize on the increased cases of holiganism despite perception that last season was worse in terms of the vice.

The EFF has also announced new rules for the coming season:

1. Starting this newly upgraded league season (16 teams) 3 teams will relegated and 3 teams will be promoted from the Super League.

2. The EFF announced the implementation of life insurance package for players and referees.

3. Every team is obliged to have U-20 team starting this season, most clubs already have U-17 and women teams.

The season will kick-off on sunday October 31.

Woldia vs Ethiopia Nigid Bank @Sheikh Mohammed Hussein Almoudi stadium

Ethiopia Coffee vs Dedebit @Addis Ababa stadium

Wolaita Dicha vs Defence @Bodite stadium

The big game of the week will be between Ethiopia Coffee and Dedebit.

The Ethiopian derby between St.George and Ethiopian Coffee will be played in week 8.
