The Zambia national team played hosts to Mozambique, in Group K of the 2019 Africa Cup of the Nations at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Mwene came to the rescue–stopping Pelembe on a one on one situation before. Later, Stainly Ratifo netted from near post to put Mozambique in the lead.

The Black Mambas held on to a slender 1-0 lead as they defeated Zambia for the first time.
