Ethiopia’s Women’s Premier League 2016/17 season to start on Nov 6,2016.

The Ethiopian Football Federation (EFF) has announced a 20-club league in a new format that takes effect immediately.

In the new arrangement, the 20 teams will be grouped in two divisions.

Top five teams each at the close of the season will form 2017/18 top flight while the rest will be relegated to second division.

The top ten will battle it out in a tournament to determine the league winner.

Dashen Beer has changed it’s name to “Tiret” while Wolita Dicha will not compete this season as the club disbanded.
