Forward Abel Manomey has officially ended his relationship with Ghana second-tier side Accra Great Olympics after two years with the club.

Abel, 25 joined the Wonder Club from Kotoku Royals some three seasons ago.

He had an impressive start to the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League having found the back of the net five times in a seven outings for the Accra-based club but a terrible injury kept him out for several weeks.

Abel suffered the injury in training while his side were preparing for their Ghana Premier League clash vs Wa All Stars.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Wednesday morning, Abel said, “Officially my contract with the wonder club ended yesterday at 23:59, making me a free player. I have not decided yet on my future and  next possible destination. For all your support for the two years i played with Accra Great Olympics Football Club, i am grateful.”

“Played 8 preseason games, scoring 13 goals. Played 7 games and scoring 5 goals in the Ghana premier league. God has been faithful,” he added.

Manomey, 25 holds a degree certificate in Physical Education from the University of Education, Winneba.

With his skill and intelligence was able to revive four players who lost consciousness in football matches to normal life.

Aside him, ex-Hearts of Oak players Thomas Abbey, Bright Lukman and Asante Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong are also credited with high academic achievement.
