French ligue 1 side FC Nantes have completed the signing of Ghanaian marksman Majeed Warris.
Warris joined the Stade de la Beaujoire outfit on a season loan from Portuguese giants FC Porto who   have an option to  buy the player fully if he impresses.
Warris  enjoyed a wonderful campaign with the current Portuguese league champions last season but has struggled to get game time this season.
Majeed 26, joined FC Porto last term from demoted French side FC Lorient on a four year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The diminutive forward was being chased by several European clubs including Saint Etienne and Bursaspor but opted to join FC Porto.
He’s capped 30 times for Ghana and scored 4 goals. Majeed could make his debut for Nantes FC vs AS Monaco at Home on Saturday.

“FC Nantes is pleased to announce the arrival of Majeed Waris, fourth rookie of the mercato de la Maison Jaune! The Ghanaian international is loaned to the club banks of the Erdre by FC Porto for the season 2018 – 2019 with option to buy. The attacker will put pm  the number 10. Welcome Majeed”

“Majeed Waris will be  at the service of Miguel Cardoso and the collective Nantes it will be  a rich experience of the European championships. Having played in the English league and the Swedish first division, which he finished top scorer in 2012 (23 goals), he made himself known on the Ligue 1 grounds under the colors of Valenciennes. In loan in the North for the second part of the season 2013 – 2014, the Ghanaian scored no less than 9 goals in 16 days of championship.”
