The number of foreign players in the league is increasing season after season and this without a doubt is making the league interesting. It’s now a fact that fans from the countries were these players are coming from are watching the league.

We also have league title winner among the foreign players and this is Attram. Bwezani of Sola25east.com found time with Attram to learn his experience in the super league.

BWZF: ATTRAM CONGRATULATIONS FOR TOUR FIRST TITILE IN ZAMBIA. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO COME INTO ZAMBIA FOR THE FIRST TIME AND YOU ARE ALREADY A WINNER?

AK: Thank you boss. Its amazing feeling I am a winner. All thanks to God. It was an amazing journey, just five months in and am ready a champion, I am grateful.

BWZF: DESCRIBE YOUR FIRST SEAZON WITH ZANACO.

AK: My first season was great as you can see. It was good learning and adapting to curves which i must say i enjoyed much and it resulted to great success.

BWZF: HAS YOUR EXPECTATIONS MET THE ACTUAL HAPPENINGS AFTER THE SEASON?

AK: I must say my expectations where met just first week in training with zanaco. I saw how amazing the players and coaches were towards the profession, this led to the achievements which were met at the end of the season.
BWZF: HOW EASY WAS IT TO BLEND AND UNDERSTAND THE CULTURE AT ZANACO?

AK: It was quite easy to blend in because i received a very good welcome by everyone expecially football-wise, i really felt at home hence the easy blending in and nice into the team.

BWZF: YOU WERE AMONG THE SCORERS ON THE 71 GOALS SCORED BY ZANACO THIS SEASON. WHICH ONE WOULD YOU SAY WAS THE BEST GAME FOR YOU AND WHY?

AK: I am sure my best game and win would be the Napsa game at sunset staduim in which i scored two goals in the second half of the game when zanaco was a goal down. It was really a great game. All players worked hard not just for a win but also for three points that cemented Zanaco’s title triumphy.

BWZF: AM SORRY I WILL ALSO ASK YOU ABOUT THE WORST GAME AND WHY?

AK: Cant be sure we had a worst game. but personally, my worst games were all those that i featured in but could not score.
BWZF: HOW DIFFERENT IS THE ZAMBIAN LEAGUE FROM THAT OF GHANA?

AK: Not so much different I think. The only major thing i can point out is only different sponsorship.
BWZF: WHICH CLUBS WOULD YOU SAY IMPRESSED YOU THE MOST IN ZAMBIA SO FAR?

AK: Zanaco impressed me so well. Then Zesco also for reaching semis of caf champions league.
BWZF: WHO IS YOUR BEST FRIEND AT ZANACO?

AK: To name a best friend in Zanaco team i cant easily specify as all players were so amazing and were all my friends but if pushed to wall, i could name people like Ziyo Tembo, Salulani Phiri, Fackson kapumbu, Charles Zulu, Toaster Nsabata. like i said, all.
BWZF: HAVE YOU MANAGED TO SPEAK SOME LOCAL ZAMBIAN TRIBES NOW AND WHICH ARE THESE?

AK: Yes, I managed to learn few words in nyanja like everyday greetings and jargons widely used on the field…there is more room for improvement for me though, lol.
BWZF: DO YOU THINK ZANACO CAN COMPETE WELL IN THE CAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE?

AK: Yes Zanaco can compete well in caf champions league with good preparations. Technical bench knows where to beef up in squad and then with very good prepations and Gods Grace we take it from there.
BWZF: WHAT DO U THINK OF CALLS BY SOCCER FANS TO BRING MORE PLAYERS TO THE SQUAD?

AK: Calls to bring more players in team Zanaco is just for the good of team, So i persoally welcome it if its necessary.
BWZF: ON A LIGHTER NOTE, WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU ARE NOT PLAYING FOOTBALL?

AK: What i do when not playing football; i love to go to church when we have evening services and watch some movies and also some live soccer, i also go round to see lusaka.
BWZF: WHAT ARE YOUR LAST REMARKS?

AK: Would love to thank God for his favour and also to thank Zanaco chairman, coaches, players and most importantly fans of Zanaco for the support and oppurtunity i was given to showcase myself in the 2016 mtn league. Must say together we are all CHAMPIONS. GO ZANACO.

Thank you so much.
