By Ibrahim Alie and Rita Bah,

Sierra Leone Anti Corruption Commision (ACC) has summoned Sierra Leone FA Secretary general Chris Camara to appear before them today(Thursday) at 9 am however Intelligence has it that they have planned to  indict and charge him to viurt immediately with impending FIFA integrity checks almost starting.

At the same time  ACC have called the media to a press conference and No one knows. ( well no one except those who should know) odd behaviour for  an institution that insists on transparency.

Its absolutely ironical and absurd for ACC to follow this trend of intimidation typical of trying to flex their muscles to use the courts to silence and intimidate SLFA officials  ahead of the very important integrity checks that have spread fear to the who is who.

Grape Vine is very rife the same fate awaits President Isha Johansen who is in Ghana for CAF Exco meeting and sources have intimated that  ACC is planning on arresting her upon arrival back home to totally silence her.

Apparently ACC boss and others were just as Johansen predicted, infuriated by the massive  global attention Johansen’s declaration received and the renewed focus on the ACC arrest a year ago for reasons vaguely known.

It is very worrisome for this trend to continue as the World is seeing a pattern of intimidation and harassment  with people hell bent on stopping any integrity checks ordered by FIFA in Sierra Leone.

The predicted  trumped up charges on Johansen’s outspoken and loyal General Secretary Chris Camara  and inevitably Johansen herself will come as little surprise to many.

The fact is that interestingly  the General Secretary has been invited to the ACC in the middle of plans to receive the Fifa task force and in the wake of his boss’s international declaration to run for a second term. What a coincidence?

The truth of the matter is that FIFA’s integrity checks and the  impending match fixing inquiry have to go on no matter what. This is the order some people don’t want to hear and will do anything in their power to stop.

The last time news from www.Soka25east.com  was shared by many including paid up Mercury gambling journalists, the gambling syndication ordered the arrest and detention of the Sierra Leone Football Association journalists for being part of sharing an article about the high court injunction against Johansen’s executive.

These are the countless intimidation and ruthless behaviour by the gambling mafia and those in high places. As Johansen’s second term international declaration receives an ovation, sinister plots against her deepens to try and put her reputation on the line.

Johansen’s irrepressible international image and personality is second to none amongst those in her industry in Sierra Leone and indeed very few can match the  ambassadorial role she has brought to Sierra Leone. However this seems to be irrelevant as her fight to protect her country’s football from being engulfed by foreign gambling mafia is proving to become increasingly intolerable for some football stakeholders and it would appear some political ‘caretakers’.The world should watch this space.
