Ethiopian Coffee unsettled midfielder Gatuoch Panom has landed a five-day trials stint with Russian top league side Anzhi Makhachkala.

David Besha, Panom’s agent told Soka25east.com that the midfielder will depart Addis Ababa for Russia later today.

“He will travel this evening to Russian,” Besha said.

Besha added that his client will undergo the medicals on Wednesday before joining the senior side’s pre-season training.

“He will stay there until Sunday before we begin talks about his future with the club’s officials,” Besha added.

Anzhi Makhachkla, based in Dagestan State, has been home to top stars like multiple African Player of the Year Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon, former Brazilian full back Robert Carlos and DR Congo’s Christopher Samba.

Panom’s future at Bunna has been doubtful. In April, he extended his stay at the former Ethiopian Premier League champions by three months till June after lengthy protracted negotiations.

He played 90 minutes as Walia Ibex lost 5-0 to Ghana in the 2019 Afcon qualifying group F match played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi Sunday.
