Serbian manager Kosta Papic has ditched Ethiopian Premier League outfit Ethiopia Bunna one month into his two-year-deal.

Papic, 47, left for home Thursday last week reportedly to attend to his ailing father but has since been spotted in South Africa.

According to media reports, Papic was seen Monday at training ground of his former club Rayal Eagles.

Bunna president Fekade Mamo told a local radio station that Papic is yet to submit resignation letter.

The club has since filed formal complaint with Ethiopia Football Federation as the former Orland Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs coach failed to give a two-month quit notice as his contract states.

A source at the club told Soka25east that the club with move to FIFA to press for compensation for the breach of contract if he signs for another team.

Papic’s reign at the helm of the coffee makers started on a high winning two games and drawing one.

In his absence Sunday, Bunna, under assistant coach Habtewold Desta, went down 1-0 to newbies Welwalo away in Adigrate.

Desta will lead the team against their arch rivals St. George in Sheger derby this coming Sunday.

Fekade has hinted as starting the process of recruiting a new coach from Europe; he has made it clear in the past that local coaches do not have the technical ability to handle the team.
