It seems the bad blood between Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the Gabon Football Association  is not going to end any time soon as he continues picking up on the federation at any given time for various reasons.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken a furious swipe at the Gabon FA for failing to recognise an injury as the reason behind his international absence.

The Arsenal striker will not feature for his country in their Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Mali on Saturday.

He played for the Gunners in their 1-1 draw against Wolves   on Sunday but medics have since informed Gabon that their star turn will be unavailable due to a back problem.

And Aubameyang says he has been hung out to dry by the association following his snub of the Panthers’ trip to South Sudan in October over the facilities provided.

“It’s bizarre,” he fumed. “Any FA will publish the reason why one of its players can’t report for international duty.

“But in this case, our association definitely received an e-mail from my doctor (saying I am injured). However, they still haven’t made this fact public.

“People are going to say that Aubameyang declined to turn up. It looks as though I have refused to come along for a different reason.”

Former Rangers and Hull striker Daniel Cousin, now manager of Gabon, admitted: “We received an email from Arsenal’s club doctor.

“It told us that Aubameyang still had pain in his back and that he couldn’t play for the national team this Saturday.”
