Uganda President His Exellency Hon. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has promised to pay all Uganda Cranes players’ outstanding bonuses before Saturday’s World Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville.

The Head of State made the revelation during a state banquet held yesterday in honor of the AFCON 2017 qualifiers, at Entebbe State House.

“I will pay all the players outstanding bonuses before the match against Congo Brazaville,” he said adding that luncheon was just an outward sign of how much Uganda appreciates the team.

It is rumored the players will each pocket $15,000 as a token of appreciation for guiding the nation to the the Nations Cup for the first time since 1978.

President Museveni is expected to be the chief guest at Namboole when Uganda takes on Congo Brazaville in their World Cup qualifier second group match Saturday.

The team shared spoils with Ghana in a barren draw away in Tamale in their opening group “E” qualifier.
