Preview: Ghana Premier League Match Week 3

The Ghana Premier League bounce back this weekend as it enters Match Week 3 across six match venues.The domestic top-flight league which started a fortnight ago is gradually gaining momentum.

Having seen wonderful display and brilliant goals scored in the league so far, match week 3 is expected not to be any different.

One game will be played on Friday, another on Saturday and the rest on Sunday and Wednesday respectively.

On Friday, Legon Cities FC will be looking to get their season back on track following their 3-0 humbling of Great Olympics last Friday when they take on title favourites Medeama SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Second-placed Techiman Eleven Wonders will travel to Dansoman with confidence high after two positive results to hold Eleventh-placed Liberty Professional at the Carl Reindorf Park on Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, Inter Allies will be hoping to see off the challenge of Hearts of Oak when they host them at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Capelli Boys drew and lost their first two games while the Phobians drew 2-2 at home – Their first game of the season.

It will be cagey affair when Karela United FC and Dreams FC go boot-to-boot with each other at the Crosby Awuah Memorial (CAM) Park in Aiyinase.

The Passioners are 3rd on the standings with 4 points whereas Believers also with 4 points are 5th on the log.

Elmina Sharks will fancy their chances when they travel to Sogakope to face West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) at the RedBull Arena.

The Academy Boys occupy the 6th spot with 3 points while the Sea Animals lie 7th with 2 points on the league table.

Sixth-placed Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs will square-off with Tenth-placed Berekum Chelsea at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium.

The two sides are yet to a record a win this season. The crabs drew and lost first two games whereas the Bibires drew both.

The last game of the weekend will see Aduana Stars battle it out with Bechem United at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park in Dormaa Ahenkro.

The Fire Boys have just 1 point from a game and lie 12th  while the Hunters have 4 points from two and sit 4th on the pile.

Asante Kotoko will not be in action this weekend as their home game against Table-toppers Great Olympics at the Accra Sports Stadium has been postponed.

The Porcupines Warriors are currently in Mauritania where they will play FC Nouadhibou in the first leg of the CAF Champions League Prelims at the Stade Municipal on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 4:00Pm.

Ashanti Gold vs King Faisal contest at the Lenclay Stadium has also been postponed.

The Miners will host Burkinabe side FC Salitas in the first leg of CAF Confederation Cup Prelims at the Lenclay Stadium on Friday, Nov 27, 2020 at 3:00Pm.
