Burundi top league also known as “Primus League” entered the round two over the weekend with seven fixtures on the cards.

Inter Star were 1-2 winners away to Flambeau in Ruyigi province to register their second win on the trot and retain the top spot on the 16-team log, same as joint leaders Lydia Lidic Academic who managed to squeeze a goal past Ngozi City to take home the points on offer.

Defending champions Vital’O who were held to a barren draw by Olympic Star away are still hunting for the new season after faltering in their opening tie last week.

Below are the Weekend Results:

Messenger Buja 0-2 Muinga
Aigle Noir 1-0 Bula City
Musongoti 2-2 Magara
Flambeau 1-2 Inter Star
Ngozi City 0-1 LLB
Olympic Star 0-0 Vital’O
Les Lierres 3-0 Rusizi
