TP Mazembe stayed on course to back to back Linafoot glory with a crucial 2-0 win over Bakavu Dawa at Mazembe Stadium, Lubumbashi Sunday.

Rainford Kalaba’s brace in the added minutes of the tie, when all indicators pointed to a barren draw, sealed the three points that keep the 15-time champions three points clear at the helm of the 8-team play-offs table standings on twenty seven points from twelve fixtures.

The Zambian skipper buried from the spot four minutes into added time before doubling the lead three minutes later before the final whistle.

Daring Club Motema Pembe, who are placed second in the log on twenty four points beat Muungano 3-0 at Martyrs Stadium, Kinshasa Thursday to keep the chase.

Third placed AS Vita Club are on equal points as DCMP but have played a match less (11). The two were scheduled to lock horns in a fierce Kinshasa derby Tuesday but, the DRC FA FECOFA has since postponed the tie indefinitely.

FECOFA is believed to have resolved to schedule the remaining matches to go on concurrently to erase any suspicions.

Mazembe will take on AS Vita on the final day in a clash already predicted to be the title decider.
