By Moorosi Tsiane,

Following two unsuccessful trials at Black Leopards and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) in Limpopo Province the Lesotho international Nkoto has finally put a pen to paper with Kwazul Natal First Division Side Royal Kings for two seasons with an option to renew.

Masoabi will be the third Lesotho player to get a contract with South African team following the signing of his Likuena teammates Luciano Matsoso and Tumelo Khutlang by Absa premiership newly promoted side Black Leopards.

Matsoso joins from his Polish club Oskar Przysucha while Khutlang joined from Lioli (Lesotho) after their impressive outing in this year’s COSAFA that was played in Polokwane in June.

“I am happy to finally find a contract here with Kings and I think I am ready to roll as the League starts this month,” said Masoabi on Tuesday.

Econet Premier League last season top goal scorer with 16 goals said he actually went to Real Kings with Leopards recommendation.

“It’s not really that I failed to impress at Leopards but there were certain issues that made the move to fail to materialize and I came here with their recommendation. There were lots of foreigners in their team and one Zambian players whom I was to fill his place in foreign quota didn’t get the South African Citizenship,” he said.

The towering striker was already featured in Real Kings last weekend semifinal match against Amazulu in KZN Premier Cup which they lost 4-2 on penalties after both sides played to one-all stalemate in 90 minutes.

“This is a much developed League and one of the best in our continent so it really means a lot to play here and the level of professionalism is amazing.

“I know what is expected of me so I am willing to keep my head down and keep on working hard and I know discipline will be key to achieve all that.”

Masoabi agreed that the package is good but was reluctant to reveal how much he will be making.

“What I can say is that of course it is a much better improved deal that comes with a good package,” he concluded.
