Venue: Nelson Mandela National Stadium, Kampala, 4pm

Uganda Cranes Head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named his 18 man squad for the game against Togo in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier to be played in Lome on Thursday.

Among the 18 man squad, is Ivan Bukenya who has been doubtful for the trip since he sustained a hamstring injury while playing for Kaizer Chiefs over the weekend against Orlando Pirates in the semi finals of the Telekom Knockout cup.

Bukenya was substituted by Coach Steve Komphela after the first 45 minutes of the game and he was replaced by Lorenzo Gordinho.

Joseph Ocaya (KCCA), Ceaser Okhuti (Express FC) and Vipers’ Farouk Miya are the only locally based players on the team.

There was no place for the youthful El Merriekh shot stopper Salim Jamal despite his tremendous form in the CAF Champions League. Hence Dennis Onyango and Robert OdongoKara remain the contenders of the Cranes number one jersey.

Gor Mahia’s duo of Khalid Aucho and Godfrey Walusimbi as expected are on the team as long absentee Hamis ‘Diego’ Kiiza.
