Sadio Mane faces the threat of being hit with an international ban for his goal celebration after cameras caught him making a one-finger salute, sparking suggestions it had been directed at the opponents technical bench,late in Senegal’s 2-2 World Cup qualifying draw aganist Burkina Faso.

After his goal, which allowed Senegal to take a lead over Burkina Faso, Mané approached the Burkinabe bench,something that was even questioned by the commentator of the Senegalese television, RTS1 reproaching him for his gesture.

Elaborating on the incident, a Radio Omega journalist who did not want to be named told soka25east that Mane approched the Burkinabe bench and guestured with his hand appearing to say,

“You talk too much you talk” before doing the sign of “I f***k you”.

In a clip obtained from the broadcaster, the gestures frustrated Burkina Faso fans who also retaliated with insults.

The referee was obliged to intervene to separate the two parties with Mane later explaining himself to the referee of the match.

Such gesture is worth 3 to 5 matches suspensions after investigations by FIFA.
