Ugandan international forward Muhammad Shaban scored the first hattrick of the Azam Uganda Premier league season to help reigning champions KCCA to demolish Soana 4:0 in a league encounter played at the Kavumba Recreational Centre on Saturday.

The former Onduparaka talisman opened the scoring in the 43rd minute heading in across from former AFC Leopards midfielder Allan Katerega before he doubled in the 69th minute from a Derrick Nsibambi pass.

The Mike Mutebi led side scored the third goal of the match to put the scores beyond the reach of Soana in the 73rd minute courtesy of Derrick Nsibambi before Shaban completed his hattrick in the closing minutes of the match.

The win moves KCCA to second place in the league standings as they charge to retain the league title.
