By James Kabah,

Sierra Leone FA President Madam Isha Johansen has won another battle after the High Court of Sierra Leone ruled that, the FIFA directives on August 3rd 2017 to extend the mandate of the SLFA Executive stands and integrity test check must go ahead.

The court further alluded that all stakeholdets should all wait for FIFA Task Force due mid- September 2017. The ruling means SLFA is allowed access to its funds to expend on football development, international matches and administrative costs done by the Madam Isha led Executive.

An interim court injuction had temporarily stopped President Isha and her executive committee from running football after some people opposed to integrity checks sort court orders. The court injuction was seen as a sign of bad faith especially as the Sierra Leone women team was preparing to travel to Morocco for important friendly matches.

FIFA do not look kindly to external interference in football issues and they have continued to recognise the Johansen led SLFA leadership until the elections are conducted.

The latest development is a big win for President Johansen and a vote of confidence by the courts .

Johansen the only woman FA President in Africa has wedged a total war against match fixing, bribery and corruption that have been a problem for Sierra Leone football.

Her stand has rubbed some people the wrong way including betting syndicates led by Mercury who sponsored the court injuction.

The aim of the injuction was to derail Sierra Leone football and at the same time create room for the unscrupulous people to try and enter football management through the back door but the courts stopped the plot.
