Tanzanian giants Simba SC went top of the Vodacom premier league after battling to a 1:1 draw against Mtibwa Sugar in an end to end encounter played at the Uhuru stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Mtibwa Sugar took the lead early in the 35th minute of the first half courtesy of Tanzanian international Stamil Mbonde silencing the Msimbazi faithful.

Cameroonian tactician Paul Omog made changes to his side bringing on Ugandan international defender Juuko Murshid for injured Tanzanian international Salim Mbonde and the changes paid off when in form Ugandan international striker Emanuel Okwi equalized in the second half.

Simba are now joint top with Mtibwa sugar with 12 points but with a superior goal difference.
